The vision of Inspire2Live
In the fight against cancer, both patients and their loved ones feel a huge sense of helplessness. Cancer is everywhere. Fighting it seems pointless. Fourty percent of people in the western world develop cancer. Everyone involved has firsthand experience of how dramatically their lives are affected and how destructive it can be.
Inspire2Live and The Alpe d´HuZes Foundation was created with the aim to empower people to convert the sense of powerlessness, caused by cancer, into one of strength. We achieve this by motivating as many people as possible to constantly challenge and expand their boundaries. Inspire2Live / Alpe d´HuZes wants to raise funds to fight cancer by cycling up famous mountains multiple times in one day. Examples are Alpe d’Huez (France) 6 times, Mont Ventoux (France) 4 times and Hanging Rock (Australia) 10 times.
Inspire2Live / Alpe d´HuZes is founded on the absolute belief that you can attain the greatest possible satisfaction if you put your heart and soul into helping others.
In memory of those who died too young of cancer and to inspire those who are fighting it.
Our motto is “Never, ever quit!” We refuse to accept any limitations in what we can and will achieve.
What is our goal?
Inspire2Live / Alpe d´HuZes will always appeal to those who share our belief – to push their limits. Whether canvassing for sponsors, cycling famous mountains, organizing massive events without spending any money, or creating a medical program that will revolutionise health care, we are willing to go where no one has gone before. Each victory, however unrealistic it seemed at first, motivates us to continue to push the limits and set higher targets. We do this not for ourselves, but for those who truly need it.
After all, only a fool blows against the wind, but together we can change its course.
Our dream is for cancer to evolve from a deadly disease into a chronic illness. We want to support cancer patients so that each one has the opportunity to lead a happy and healthy life in harmony with cancer.
Besides, everybody can experience an ultimate feeling of happiness, by giving the best you can for others. Everyone who has taken part in Inspire2Live / Alpe d´HuZes events, knows what that feeling is and what it means. It is the drive that realises our dreams.
